Founded in 1993 by former Actor Howard Cooke, HCA is an established, highly respected and committed, ethical Agency located in the heart of London’s bohemian Chelsea.

Alongside Howard Cooke, we are supported by exemplary legal advice from industry lawyer Sylvia Coleman (previously with Sony Music Entertainment and EMI Music) who handles our Business Affairs on a consultancy basis.

We are long standing members of the Personal Managers Association and pride ourselves on the diversity and handpicked quality of our Clients.

Our ethos is “the right Actor for the right job”. Whereas many Agencies will make ‘blanket’ casting submissions of several Actors for a particular role, HCA will only ever put forward the Actor or Actress who perfectly fulfils the casting brief. This practice means that we have a trusted reputation amongst Directors and Casting Directors. It also means that our Clients never find themselves attending unsuitable and time wasting auditions.

Our Clients work successfully in all areas of the profession including Film, Television, Theatre, Musical Theatre and Commercials. Their credits range from “Pirates of the Caribbean” to “EastEnders”, “Coronation Street” to “Call The Midwife”, “Doctor Who” to “Downton Abbey” and “Les Miserables” to “Mamma Mia!”.

Our links with Actor/Musicians stretch back to the very earliest roots of the genre and we represent some of the most skilled Artists in the field.

We have strong relationships with all the major employers of actors in the UK including the BBC, ITV, West End and Touring Theatre Producers as well as regional and diverse companies such as The Watermill, The Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch, The New Wolsey Theatre, the RSC and the National Theatre. We have also worked on many occasions with European Companies and U.S. Casting Directors.
